You might have to download for a full view. It’s a big one.
Edit: I’ve heard what some of you have said, and I’ve decided to change the sky. By comparison, I think this looks MUCH better.
Thank you.

Hmm, looking back at the early fandom’s work is always nice. It’s interesting to look back and see what kind of things mattered or stuck out to people when the show was new.

Star beasts were always something of a missed opportunity, I think, although the ursas certainly got more uses in later seasons than most other creatures did. I would have loved to see even just one more type, just to get people’s wheel turning. That would have been fun.

Still, this picture tells a story all on its own. Trixie returning from… somewhere, calm and at peace, horn shining, and the titans of the night sky in her wake. What happened here? Why are these creatures following her? “Taming the Cosmos” is the original DA page’s title… did Trixie set out to back her claims with deeds? Did she search for these beasts intentionally, or track vague legends, or stumble across them by chance or fate, or did they come to seek her out? How far must she have journeyed to find them all? What did she learn on her way? What kind of seas did Capricorn and Pisces swim, what mighty peak may hold Aquila’s roost?

I love this. It feels like catching a great story, a grand story, just at its final act, when the path has been trod and the journey finished and the lessons learned, and the hero returns home wiser and stronger than they were.
