Just something I noticed while watching the MLP Movie (for the fifth time).
I wish I could find a better image, but there were only two of them featuring the Staff of Sacanas, and this had the better context.

that is correct, but also because people keep making jokes on jar jar being the biggest villain. is there a name for the trope you just mentioned?
I think it’s more in reference to said character to be responsible for the big villain taking over.

Yes, but I’m pretty sure the original person was talking about permanent, naturally-occurring seaponies.
They were still a thing.

I know that this comment was posted before some people could see the finale, but apparently there’s a book called “Seapony Communications” So Seaponies could exist.

Actually, the seaponies are not a thing. They are just hippogriffs magically transformed to live in the water to evade The Storm King.
So HIPPOGRIFFS are in season 8, movie is canon. Is what you should be saying. X3
Are the Rainbow Powers a permanate thing? I was under the impression they were a temporary thing sense we haven’t really seen it outside that dream in DPDoMS.
Also if EQG is considered canon then this movie is most definitely is canon.

The lack of book horse teleportation was a problem for the movie, I will admit. The movie isn’t perfect.
However, the lack of rainbow power could be attributed to trust in what Celestia and Luna were about to do.
They knew that the sea ponies could do something to stop the storm king.
That, and by the time that they knew what the pearl did, Twilight was already separated from her friends and they couldn’t activate Rainbow Power anyway.
As far as I know, the movie is canon.
And, I disagree with your opion on the movie. It was fun, and overall with the beautiful animation, the good songs, and the plot that yes had some minor plot holes but nothing too big to ruin the movie, I thought it was good.
