Description

This piece represents a lot of firsts for me. It’s obviously the first artwork I’ve uploaded to Derpibooru. It’s also the first artwork I’ve uploaded onto the internet in general. And it’s the first serious piece of pony art I’ve made (everything I’ve drawn before never amounted anything more than some random sketches in my notebook). What better time for me to break these milestones than while celebrating a significant milestone for one of my favorite shows? I know this isn’t great–probably not even good–but I put a ton of effort into it and I’m personally very happy with how it turned out; I suppose at the end of the day, that’s what’s most important.

Thank you for taking the time to view this little work of mine, and I wish you a pleasant seventh anniversary of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic!

Most movie articles on Wikipedia serve as a compilation of the all the info available on a movie. Critical reception is only one part of that. Moreover, Wikipedia only records the critical reception to ensure that the article is as comprehensive as possible; the site never suggests that the words of the critics are the final say on a movie.

I wasn’t taking about Hasbro’s reputation in the film industry in general; I was simply saying that the MLP movie specifically will not adversely impact their reputation.

Well, Wikipedia doesn’t care about the audience (and kinda dismiss it as fake critics) as most movie articles on Wikipedia are about the positive, the mixed and/or the negative reviews from critics once the film is released.

Also, if Hasbro’s reputation in the film industry isn’t ruined, explain how films such as the Bayformers films, the G.I. Joe films, Jem and the Holograms, Battleship and the first Ouija movie got mixed to negative reviews from critics. The Only film that is been positively received is the Mike Flanagan-directed prequel to Ouija, Origin of Evil, but bad outweights good.

At least, it is now earning most money than the budget that I have heard that is around 5 million to 9 million bucks. (The “leaked” budget paper about the film’s budget being $25 million is seen as fake.) And the gross led Hasbro for a possibility for a sequel, which it’s too early for them to say “HAHA IN YOUR FACE” to Saban for MLP having a sequel right away when Power Rangers didn’t.

I’m pretty sure those irrationally harsh critics were already biased against My Little Pony even without the influence of the vocal minority. The previous generations in the franchise certainly didn’t do any favors for its perception in their minds (and the minds of the public either, to a certain extent). That said, there is no excuse for them to write off or disparage the movie purely because it is a part of the My Little Pony brand. As for Hasbro’s reputation, I wouldn’t say it’s ruined. The general audiences still overwhelmingly enjoy the film, and depending on what estimate of the movie’s budget you go by, Hasbro has already turned a profit or is on its way to turning a profit with the film.

I did liked the film too. But I would liked it even more (or be happier than before) if the so-called “vocal minority” didn’t affect the critic’s thoughts and opinions on the MLP film as it caused to be rotten rather than fresh on RT, thus Hasbro’s reputation STILL being ruined again since TF: The Last Knight.

or if Lionsgate didn’t hate 3D so they can release the film in Digital 3D and be a big hit in the box office since according to IMDb they got Legend3D and the 3D composers credited in there

Thank you.

I enjoyed the movie. It wasn’t record-breaking or game-changing, but it certainly nails what it does manage to accomplish. The pacing was admittedly awkward at times, but the other aspects of the film (the animation in particular) were well done and definitely helped to make up for it. Overall, I had a good time watching the movie.
