Look. I got no links or screenshots. But I am sure you can look up Haber’s and Vogel’s tweets on conservatives and Donald trump and understand why some people are upset about them.
 
As I said, the homosexual characters are the smallest and most irrelevant part, but to some people, that was the last straw, the most recent thing to make them upset.
 
I am one of those who doesn’t care about the homosexual characters, but does not take aggression toward people for their political views lightly. As such, I consider it is time Hasbro talks to their employees about not using or endorsing political violence.
 
I am through with the accusations of homophobia, and if you want evidence, look it yourself, I will not spend more time trying to convince people of understanding the other side if all I will get is “Homophobe!” whenever I say something in favor of those they disagree with.

most people find it hard to connect “was a dick on twitter” to “censor these characters for totally not homophobic reasons” so you might want to actually you know… explain what the heck you’re talking about.

I am not speaking of evil elite. I am speaking of people turning hostile because others do not think the way they do rather than sit down and talk, and in particular using their wealth and reputation as means to do so.
 
If we spent less time on social media and more on physical phora debating our views, and disagreements, this petition wouldn’t exist, and most parents would actually agree having these new characters is not big deal. But things have escalated because no one is open for debate, and that includes the show staff.
 
I believe it is time for Hasbro to interfere and try to achieve some sort of compromise from both sides, and also call out those who do not keep it civil.

As if that was a secret. And it is not just to prevent an implied homosexual couple, most of them would probably not care under different circumstances. The petition is actually airing some rather legitimate grievances, which I sincerely share, such as staff insulting people they don’t even know. Oh, and I think your statement will result in a streisand effect, unless you intended to get more signatures.

This has been about to blow up for a while, ever since the staff began to have public meltdowns and lashing against fans and those who didn’t vote Democrat in the US elections. I am sincerely not surprised this happened, I expected it to happen even before.

I didn’t say they bragged about virtue signalling. I am saying they made a big deal about it, which alerted people, which led to them find out about things EQD never reported on, which led to things getting ugly. Even the headlines were not that good at defusing the issue.
