Description

My fellow bronies, pegasisters and other MLP fans alike…

Today is the day My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic officially hit the scene back in 2010! This day marks its seventh anniversary! Yes, seven years of friendship and harmony!

And today, I’d like to sit down and make a little reflection on how this show and its wonderful theme and intriguing characters had an impact on me, personally.

It was back in 2012 when I first heard of this show, surprisingly because of this one video:
Starscream VS Rainbow Dash DEATH BATTLE!

Yep, this video was what led me to the show in the first place. And unsurprisingly, Rainbow Dash was my first favourite character. As I caught on with the show, I learned more about other characters that followed and what they meant and represented, what they liked and disliked. They related so well with not just me, but with so many others on different levels.

Applejack, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie also got on my favourite character lists; ultimately however, Rarity and Fluttershy (pictured above) made the top two. Because out of the Mane Six (or other characters), I related the most with them; I’m very generous and very kind, but I can be pretty materialistic and shy to a fault. Well, not as much these days but before, I was.

Who would’ve thought that all this came out of a show aimed for little girls featuring candy-coloured ponies?

By the way, I’m TOTALLY looking forward to the movie! I’m gonna have to wait a while because it doesn’t come out yet here in Australia, but either way, I’m sure it’ll be worth it!

So, glad to spend the day with this, and I hope you too have a harmonious day! And a special thanks to Lauren Faust and Hasbro for giving us this wonderful creation of joy and happiness!
