As I said elsewhere, the roommates and lovers routine has been done to the point of death at this point, and this brings with it a whole new set of possibilities.
Now I could see that far more than any of the fanon. Like VidCon or something, a musical get-together or “party.”
But I do believe the MLP rule-of-canon is “Unless it shows up in the TV show, take it with a grain of salt.”

I don’t inow if the CCG cards work as cannon, but in one of the Octavia cards the description says they met at a party

The sisters headcanon was the third strongest one for them, which is honestly the only one I really see fitting. Especially, as Mean put it, their layout doesn’t make sense for the other two.
