Yes, the Storm King really is dead. He was turned into stone and shattered on the ground.
As for other fighting scenes, there was slamming to the ground, electric/magic shocks and setting people on fire. Nothing graphic of course.

No, there wasn’t.
I am thankful that, from the sound of things, they didn’t take advantage of the PG rating to throw in stuff we WOULD never see in the show (and not for violence or intensity), although they came close in 28 Pranks Later, and the comics did have such scenes.
That includes the Storm King dying (based on all the new info I got it sounds like there’s no postcredits scene and he really is dead), because King Sombra died in the show. I just hope Chrysalis follows
