||A scene likeit appears. But neither in the Castle of Friendship or with everyone in a cheery mood. ||
They were in Auntie Eclipse’s library, sure, but there was no mention of Scootaloo flying in any way which the cover art was implying (intentionally or not) was a major plot twist.
So uh, This scene doesn’t actually occur in the book, leading me to believe there may have been a rewrite. It is a very good book, however, and makes great use of Starlight and Discord. Especially the interaction of those two.
The book is written from Scootaloo’s point of view this time around, and she has some great moments.

I was honestly expecting some comments along those lines, yes. Maybe those fans seriously don’t care about the books?
@Philweasel
I’m one of the (apparently very few) fans of “On Your Marks”, so I suspect I’d quibble with that assessment, but I’ll still take it as a recommendation to check out this series; thanks!
And the usual suspects are of course loudly proclaiming that these books are ruined now that Starlight’s in them and blah blah blah vote with their wallets.
@cheezedoodle
I’m starting to wonder if Twilight is ever right.
To be fair, it’s more down to a tendency early on towards “It’s not in my books, therefore it doesn’t exist!”. She has gotten better at that since season 1. And previous ‘curses’ in these books have been more akin to magical maladies than hocus pocus (which I think was what she meant by ‘curse’).
