I’m criticizing the fact that you felt the need to make this critique in the first place. It’s merely a difference in visual tastes, something purely subjective. You have every right to call him out on this, just like I have every right to call you out on this, and likewise you have every right to call us out for engaging with you to begin with. I see no hypocrisy here.

i was less engaging and more defending from our accusations of me wanting the whole movie to change just because i expressed my preference of the original concept of klugetown which i never even implied in any of my comments.

The overall narrative would have been different to account for this being the final product.
 
You may not have meant to do it, but it’s not my fault for misinterpreting poor wording.

If you didn’t want the movie to change, why are you complaining? The whole reason people complain is because they don’t like the way something is and want it to change.

When you post your opinion online in a public forum, you’re inviting people to respond. Sometimes those responses will disagree with you, and you have to accept that. If you don’t want people to express their disagreement with you, don’t post.

MLP is not a high fantasy epic. It’s a slice of life show with occasional action adventure elements. The show is about it’s characters, not it’s lore. Frankly, I’d rather have the backstory given in a clear and concise manner then waste time with tons of pointless exposition dumps.

That is super cheap to do instead of something that properly worldbuilds or expands the lore that is already there.

You’re not the professionals. These people have been working in the industry for years. They have a much better understanding of what ideas are important to a story then any non-professional fan, no matter how dedicated said fan is.

When someone responds to an argument with another argument, they are choosing to engage in debate. When both partied have engaged in debate, calling out one for being argumentative is hypocritical. If muttonbash has a right to express his opinion on this concept art, I have a right to express my opinion on his post. You can’t be selective about who gets to express their opinions and which opinions they get to express, only how they choose to word those opinions. Also, try to look into how I actually earned my badges before you make assumptions.

SCORPAN MY BOY! He looks pretty different from the redesign he had in the comics and the S4 finale storybook. Maybe they were gonna tweak this design a lil’ or it’s because of the movie’s style change. Or maybe that’s just gargoyle puberty for ya.
