plus she kinda had a point. ponies maybe should spend some time doing more than just parties, if guys like the storm king can just swoop in and trash the place with impunity.
…All of that was meant to be met with the resigned sigh of someone who’s tired of the trope.
Not so much the hot burning anger of a rioter.
I’m still going to see the movie, but it’s another knock against the mane six in my book.
Okay, dude. Calm down. You are going way over your head about it. Criticising the one thing about the movie before this movie comes out, isn’t going to help anyone. You need to settle down. If it bothers you so much, than don’t see the movie! That’s your problem, not mine.

We know Twiligh was loosley aware of her surroundings with her petrification and Discord was fully aware.
Storm king isn’t weak enough to match Unicorn Twilights disconnect, but is more then enough to almost level discord.
Even so, the fact that no one tries to stop it from breaking makes me sick to my stomach and disgusted with the main caste overall.
I’ve never read any fictional petrification described as leaving you able to sense what’s going on, or even aware of your condition. You may be aware it’s happening, briefly, but then you’re out like a light. More merciful than many ways to die.
Gloating would make you look like a sore winner :/
Which is a reason for me to be dissapointed but not upset.
Though it’s another fate worse then death for someone who really isn’t deserving of it.
Petrification means he’s still alive trapped in there, in inhuman pain and even if reformed likely crippled to the cellular level.

Aye. Discord is a weird case anyhow. His redemption didn’t change that he’s mostly a jerk. Good thing they do treat him like a jerk when he’s acting like one.
Seeing as how Twilight appears to sort of kill the Storm King by letting his statue shatter when she could’ve caught him, like she did with Tempest, he gets it the worst out of all the villains so far. Even Sombra got ‘sploded by a magical superweapon way outside anypony’s reach.
True, but by all rights Discord shouldn’t even be an option for redemption, since he’s arguably the worst of them.
And while I agree about Do Princess’ dream of Electric sheep being one of the best episodes, the fact she’s all but handed her old power and influence off the bat doesn’t sit right with me.
To be fair, they did treat Discord like one would be expect, being very suspicious of his motives. That was indeed very welcome. And Luna at least made herself pay, still one of the best episodes.
@Joshua
So, if these assumptions prove to be right, does that mean ponies are free to come back here and gloat at you? Not that I would. Ever. Not me. Uh uh. No way.
/cough
You mean like the entire main caste?
Or Luna?
Or Discord?
The only villains that’ve actually gotten a punishment fit for their crimes are Tirek and Sombra, and then theres the ““antagonists”” who’ve paid even more then is honestly just in any system.
They just haven’t seen the movie yet and are making wild assumptions. As usual. XD
But people are mad that she’s not being treated like one.
She’s given a slap on the wrist like what she did is no big deal.
They don’t try to make her powerful at all. As for the bad guys, I would’ve loved something like at the end of Disney’s Aladdin. The first one. Instead, we seem to get the pony being redeemed and the non-pony being left to die.
Which is not a system befitting any of the elements.
It’s hypocrisy and something I’ve long gotten sick of in the show.
The good guys are really a bunch of spoiled brats at this point to me and Celestia’s a laughingstock no matter how they try to make her powerful.
I can’t respect anything with that kind of two faced morality.

there’s a twisted logic to it, I think.
The ones with the worst crimes get to stick around because they have the most power.
Or Luna by comparsion to her crimes, or Discord by comparison…
Honestly the ones they kill are the least criminal of all of them.
Which takes me back to the glaring hypocrisy of the show.
Much depends on how it’s presented. Many of us came to accept Sunset’s redemption better because we got to see how much she worked and suffered for it. It felt earned. Compare that to Starlight Glimmer or Juniper Montage…
They can keep getting away with it.
Trixie enslaved all Ponyville under the influence of evil amulet - and was let go (and eventually welcomed back) after a quick apologizing.
Discord mind-raped all of Twilight’s friend (and the whole of Ponyville), than, after being reformed, betrayed the whole Equestria to Tirek - and he was, again, welcomed back after some apologizing.
Starlight messed with the time flow and created some VERY nasty realities in her attempts to get revenge on Twi - and she was actually taken as princess’ apprentice for her troubles.
In the words of Mane Six human counterparts “We’re awfully forgiving group”. Seriously, what else have you expected from the cartoon called “Friendship is magic”?
P.S. By the way, where the hell did he got so detailed information about the movie’ plot? I’ve seen some spoiler-y snippets from books - but it looks like he had complete script handy!
:p
No wonder they call you the Princess of Friendship, Twilight. You have a way of fixing everything here. X3
No problem :)
