I do not watermark my art if I intend it for public release, (see my artist tag). but this was a commission that has not been paid for. So in case the person does turn up and pay for it, I can give them the un-watermarked version. It seemed better to post it with one, than not at all. But I do appreciate that people won’t like it, sorry about that. Sentire.

Eh, think you could do something about the watermark, though? It’s rather obtrusive. I mean, truth be told, art theft isn’t really all that common, and they’re usually caught before too long. Or if you really must, just make your own but make it solid green against a central part of the image with little green component, with an opacity of like 2 to 5, and editing the channel light curves can make it visible or stand out more if there’s ever a dispute in ownership.
 
Though those are pretty easily resolved by upload date, heh.
 
I mean, when there’s more than a million pony images, so to really compete for attention you can’t shoot yourself in the foot like that. The vast majority of people don’t watermark their stuff.

So… does the artist headcanon that magic is actually invisible, and the only reason we see it is fourth-wall stuff so the viewers know it’s magic? ‘cause otherwise I think that’s Sweetie Belle’s mug that’s just floating at the bottom-left of the obtrusive watermark.
