I read up on it. Appearantly Oedipus complex is more about character and actions being similar than appearance.
 
They really don’t look much more alike than other mares look alike. Pinkie for example looks more like Sugar than Pear does. Their only strong visual resemblance is their hair accessories but since they both chose to wear them like that it says something about their characters being similar.
 
Otherwise they also behave atleast in somewhat similar ways so it could be assumed that Big Mac indead has Oedipus complex.

I think it’s more of a thing about character than appearance because the only visual resemblance is their hair accessoirs which could be a hint to their character. Does that still count as Oedipus complex?

Is it me? Or is Bright Mac slightly smaller and less chunkier than his son in design? The front part of his mane definitely passed on to Applejack.
 
Also, Apple Bloom seems to be more lady like than her siblings, just like her mother.

It’s just the hair accessories causing them to have a slightly similar manestyle. By that logic almost all mares look almost the same. Pinkie looks like that, too.
