Great, now I just have to headcanon that the throne that Princess Celestia sits on is the Golden Throne, that has helped keep Celestia young and pretty for over thousand years, but to keep her psychic powers going strong ponies have to keep feeding her tons of cake everyday, just so she can keep moving the sun around.
And oya, it was Discord who messed around with Princess Luna and got her to go full Horus on her sister, but it’s okay, because after a thousand years of timeout, she got better.
Princess Celestia still doesn’t like Discord tho.
@Ping_chan
I’m guessing NO, what with her not being able to literally shove The Actual Sun around.
…I mean, if she was going Full Bastard about it, she could probably figure out a way to, like, snipe Celestia on the toilet or poison the metric ton of cake Sunbutt demolishes every day or something, but in a stand up fight she’d get plastered more or less instantly.
I’ve seen a comment stating Luna would be behind Celestia, hearing everything. But if you look at the second panel, we see Luna walk away, and in the fourth panel, the doorway is empty. Luna has left the balcony, leaving Celestia and Starlight alone.
1000 years of absolute peace might sound odd, but it might not be as strange considering ponies especially the guard are often VERY unprepared for the demon attacks that have occured since Nightmare Moon’s return. XD
This looks like it’ll end badly, until you realize luna is right behind her listening. If there is ANYPONY who would catch onto this quick, it would be the one with personal experience.
But I don’t think Pony have as much nightmare as us human in real life. Seeing that Equestria is more peaceful than our world. Or else Luna might have to visit more than 100-1000 ponies every single nights for that.
@vavacung
Honestly I think the last one is most likely. The sad truth of “How did Celestia handle ponies’ nightmares” is simply “She didn’t. She couldn’t.” Which means for a thousand years ponies were at the mercy of their nightmares and nobody could do anything about it except see a psychiatrist after the fact.
If Luna really walk among dream in those 1000 years. Than she should have no problem to adept with future life since she saw the world through all pony dream.
And Celestia said she has no power in the dream world,But how can we know if she told the truth? Who know Celestia might walk in dream in all those years. Maybe she might not able to change dream. But she still able to give pony an advice to solve their worry and fear and stop their nightmare on their own.
Or their might have some pony with psychologist talent to help them in real life, clear their worry and fearso they no longer dream of nightmare.
Just like how us people in real life deal with nightmare…
As Luna said, Celestia’s magic cannot affect the dream world.
This raises the question, how could Celestia keep Nightmare Moon banished in the dream world as well as in the waking world? It’s apparent Nightmare Moon wasn’t running amok in ponies’ dreams all that time.
My theory is that Nightmare Moon only existed in the waking world. In the dream world, Luna remained herself. She was the superior in that realm and so had no reason to envy her older sister, and thus no reason to turn into Nightmare Moon. So all the time Nightmare Moon was imprisoned in the moon, Luna’s only escape was in the dream world, tending to ponies’ dreams as she always had done. No pony realized that Luna the Dreamwalker was the same being as the monster Celestia had banished all those years ago.

They’re a concurrent universe. IDW don’t influence the story or characters of DHX, but vice versa is not untrue. Stuff from IDW changes whenever DHX requires it. Which is why Sombra and the Umbrans exist.
Well, while Luna was gone, Celestia didn’t have her magic, just raised the moon. As Luna said, Celestia’s magic cannot affect the dream world. So, no plot hole there. Would have been one if Celestia was suddendly awkward about raising the moon instead of the sun. Which she is not.

She’s called NIGHTMARE Moon for a reason. Ponies know her from their nightmares, which is why there is a festival about it.
Granted it’s only a theory. I based it on three things:
I’d say what ever magic kept her sealed in the moon kept her from how ever many worlds the ponies interact with.

and I think there was a comic from JJ made a long time ago that emphasized her Molly nickname somewhere.
It’s kinda been a couple weeks, but there’s an apparent lack of Molestia-Daybreaker hybrids… Day… Datebreaker? Jailbreaker… >w<
Yup. It’s just Molly is just a cuter shorten nickname that’s been circulating it around.
