Fun Fact: The dream about losing your teeth is actually tied to the concept of being swamped with stress. In your mindscape, part of the primal stress of worry (and death) is where your teeth could wear down/fall out and you can’t eat anymore.

Curiously I don’t recall having a “naked in public” dream or the test one either. I don’t really have recurring dreams much, though there has been a peculiar quirk in my dreams for years: I never see family or friends in my dreams, always exclusively strangers.

I’ve never had a tooth falling out dream before but it’s interesting to see that it is apparently a common one. I’m a very very strange case since I do not have teeth anymore as of a couple or so years ago now I think; I actually had a nightmare not too long ago where I had them back again and it sucked.

it usually happens as a result of abject long-term stress when you’re awake. it’s kind of a manifestation of the innate feeling that your life is spiraling out of control. it’s a very common recurring stress dream along with the “naked in public” and “taking a test you don’t know the answers for” dream. mercifully, i don’t recall having the classic “teeth falling out” dreams, but i have had a fair few instances of the classic “getting lost at school and trying to find your way around campus but you can’t and you’re missing all your classes” recurring dream. not fun.

I’ve never had a teeth-falling-out dream, always wondered why it’s so common. In my nightmares I’m usually chased and shot to death. Or losing control of a car and driving over a cliff.

Teeth falling out dreams are traumatizing. I am seriously concerned that they put this in a kids show.
