Actually, according to a Google search, horse vision is actually better than human vision in pretty much every way bar chromatics*. MLP ponies are implied to be at least trichromatic, and considering they have much bigger eyes if a certain S1 episode is any indication and all other equine things are equal they probably see about as well compared to us as we do compared to moles.
 
*Trichromatic vision in mammals appears to be rare if not unheard of outside primates anyway.

Animation error? I made that same error in my latest upload, actually. I forgot to change Blackjack’s eyes to look at either Babs or Snowdrop. In fact, I tend to make that mistake a lot. (I didn’t bother with Barney, Nefarious, Olimar or the Space Pirate since you can’t see their eyes as easily, but with the ponies it’s a lot more obvious because of how unnaturally big pony eyes are.)

Funny, I was just thinking about that mysterious door in Gloomy Galleon and how Dixie could be behind it. On the subject of looking bigger, though, Sweetie Belle is just closer to the camera. Look at their cutie marks. On an unrelated note I question how Sweetie Belle even fit into those costumes.  
Also my dogs like squeaky toys. Ripley has no style or grace.
