i had no idea about these account tie ins could be done. if it can be updated to link to my account here or my new deviantart account, then that would be swell. im very new to this site.

As @Exedrus explained, we can alter the uploader name and tie it to your account, among other things. We just need to receive a report from you about the issue. Then we’ll PM you and work out the details.

And also as Exedrus said, it’s the validation code an artist places on their source so we know the person claiming it does in fact own it.

Might be part of Derpibooru’s artist account verification. Artists need to post a randomly generated string somewhere on their art account so mods can verify they have control of that account.

It’s been a while, but I think the mods can change the ‘uploader’s for images, so they all look like that artist posted them. To do something like that you’ll probably want to report an image, and explain what you want in the report. A mod will probably PM you and continue the process from there.
 
You also might want to look into this site’s takedown policy and maybe the DNP list (if you want to prevent people other than you from uploading your works).

im glad that people like my art, but could you please ask me next time you upload something? i just started my account on this site today and im having a hard time posting my work since everyone else already has.
 
btw my old deviantart account, thecrazedsatanist, was banned because a troll reported my entire account. i made a backup account under the name AsmodeusTheSexLord, and i would appreciate it if you removed this asap, so i can post it on my account here. no hard feelings, but i wanna keep my art to my accounts
