I’m almost 100% percent certain that the Mane 6’ll still be important to the story, it’s just that their grand adventures will be happening less frequently (y’know, sans Twilight’s case, less frequently than they already have been).
@Toxicpinkiepie
Yeah, I thought they may has well have slapped “shippers” on Pinkie in Impact font.
@Eeveeinheat
Pretty much my one problem with the episode was that Pinkie Pie was about 25% too Pinkie, and considering she’s normally about 5-10% away from tipping into “annoying idiot-ball carrier” and that she really should know Maud better, it undercut my engagement with the episode. I still mostly enjoyed it and would give it a B, mind you, but it could’ve been an A- episode.

To be honest, I’m wondering if that’s the direction they’re moving in.
Plot twist: The Main 7 all die in the movie, and season 8 stars Starlight, Trixie, Discord, Maud, Big Daddy McColt, Plaid Stripes, and Stephen Magnet in the Spike role.
The moment when another crack-shipping becomes canon.
Also it’s just a matter of time now before Maud and Trixie meet each other in the show now that Starlight is friends with both of them.
