Even with its potential story and intrigue, for the most part, a time skip arc would also be a rather effective marketing ploy; make present-day foals, colts, and fillies into adults, palette swap existing toys, reskin this and that, et cetera. <w<

That would require her to actually age, and
childcharacters aren’t allowed to do that in this show.Probably have more swirly, cursivey lines like Cadance’s. Maybe stars like the Twilight’s. :3

It does better question how the hell did he see into the future
It does make sense. A shield from Shining, the Heart from Cadance and the Crystal Heart, and the swirly lines representing a flurry or wind.
