Man there’s kind of a difference between a person’s hair growing out of a different body part than it should and a pony’s mane being slightly off center for aesthetic effect.

Because horns and wings are additional limbs and they’re mythical creatures. Equine manes are supposed to grow in the center and not on the side. By you’re logic humans should have hair grown from neck instead of scalp, so why is EQG hair grown from scalp? If you don’t even know the basics in things then go back to school.
Actually it IS anatomically incorrect. Go look at some real life equines. It’s supposed to grow from center, not the side. This is a simple fact. Look are Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie Pie, that’s how mane is supposed to grow. Starlight’s incorrect mane makes her look bald with a combover.

The part where it connects to her head is off center instead of being aligned directly behind her horn.
