I never said people shouldn’t discuss this at all. Also, you can’t control if people will turn this into a drama or not, only if you are going to comment or not, and what you are going to comment.

I agree with that. I’m just saying it would be nice to see people discuss this stuff without turning into drama instead of just never discussing it at all.
 
I would also agree about filtering her tag but there’s a surprising number of good pictures that just have Starlight in the background or just to the side where filtering her would cause you to miss something great, like that Chrysalis burn joke comic. You can use complex filters though.

its just there, and i already said that i like some starlight images and jokes, enough to not hide the tag
 
and it dosent “upsets” me, and im not taking sides to put fuel in the flame, im just having similar opinions whit other people about how stupid this all is, did we atacked by the side who defends starlight? or the side who atacks starligh? no, we dindt (unless someone is trolling or searching any excuse to be the drama lord)
 
it is wrong to share my thoughts whit other people that share the same neutral opinion?
 
do we force people to share our opinions? no, we dont, the 2 sides mentioned before does that “ou, but starlight is a great character cuz bla bla bla. ou, but you re wrong! its bad cuz yada yada yada”
 
and i say again, i dont give a blazing damm about the character, or if it is good or bad, like i said, the only thing that i had whit starlight was “wait, werent this character bad before?” and thats it
 
and i see al this bs about the wolrd in the news, in conversations whit friends and family, i only use the internet for usefull information for my studies, to play and for this website, nothing more

You can yet filter tags, or refrain from reading the comments in such images. I did not mean to give an exhaustive list of possibilities, and my examples were in the context of the “destroying planet” setting, given in one of the comments I replied to.
 
Also, a person can find peace of mind by simply knowing that he/she isn’t supporting the character in any way, and that is what he/she is doing about his/her problem.
 
In the context of the first comment I replied about this topic, talking to others about such doesn’t really help. The problem was hating drama and talking about this in the comments would only stir up more drama. If the drama upsets @‘team blueplant’ the more constructive thing he/she could do probably is avoiding it, not diving in the comments section with the drama that upsets him/her.

I never said one side was at fault. Everyone is bound to do so, if they can’t let go of getting upset over things that they can’t control.

Mary Sues don’t need to be flawless. There’s even the anti-Sue, a type of Mary Sue that has tons of flaws (yet people seem to love them unconditionally even if they’re awful.)

If people don’t like the character they likely aren’t buying her merchandise already so that doesn’t really effect anything and blocking the website that has that character on it sometimes is a pretty extreme measure to take, I get what you’re trying to say but those things don’t really help in any meaningful matter when it comes to this topic, talking about the problems with others is just as useful as any of that.
 
I agree you can discuss this stuff without being upset and lashing out but at the same time I have seen at least several conversations where discussing Starlight as a character and her problems is met with screams and jabs by those who don’t want to hear it, so it’s not just the people who criticize who get upset and become unreasonable.

I do not even considered that I could be so misunderstood.

I said “help to stop them in some way”, I do not see from where you got the ’force’ bit. In my mind was thing like not buying things from companies that profit from such exploitation or doing awareness campaigns, for example.
 
Also, I did not say ’nothing’, I said ’ignore’, what can take some active effort, as downloading the LeechBlock extension for Firefox and blocking sites you only go to get upset at people/’the state of world’.
 
Criticism and discussion are things that can be done without being upset (very similar to my awareness campaign example), and they are in the “help to stop them in some way” category, my ’some way’ was meant to be very broad and comprises about anything you can decide to do against something.

Your comment just sounds like “don’t have a different opinion than others because it’s pointless” and the metaphor of “Stop them or ignore” sounds like “will you demand the writers change by force or will you do nothing”. That’s leaving out a lot of in-betweens like criticism or discussion, it just goes to put a gun to there heads or do literally nothing at all.

I never said that you should or shouldn’t do something, I only said that the root of your problem is that you get upset over things you can’t control.
 
Getting upset often doesn’t solve the problem that upset you, nor does you any good. People are destroying the planet? Make a binary choice: will you help to stop them in some way? or will you ignore the problem? Both choices are equally valid, you can’t help to solve all world problems, so you will have to choose to just ignore others. The ‘ignore’ option can include cutting communication channels that keep making you angered about such problem. You didn’t lost time and energy getting upset, and you acted over what you can control (your own choices). I do not say you have to supress your anger, but as you assimilate this, you will feel less the need for anger.

Guys, please don’t start anything.

“Whenever there’s a new character” Starlight is the only new character that became a main character that I’m aware of other than maybe Discord to some degree and people loved him, so I’m not sure what other hate you are referring to.
 
I think people focus on her because she’s part of a trend the show seems to be taking in terms of writing and that’s why she’s discussed so much.
 
Personally I think she’s a boring pointless character with awkward writing, other than that she barley registers in my mind compared to a certain other event and I’m sure there are things people see in her character that I don’t for as to why she would be a loved character. The problem she seems to have overall is that she seems to be the focal point of where the show took a turn that not many people enjoyed.

Also, in No Second Prances, all THREE of them (Twilight, Starlight, and Trixie) were treated as having messed up and in the wrong. Not a single one of them held 100% of the blame for what happened.

Her flaws aren’t ignored or forgotten, you have just cited the episode where she tries to brainwash everyone but twilight to do a friendship lesson. She is forgiven by them, this isn’t the same of being ignored or forgotten. She is presented as a character with flaws, resorting to brainwashing to solve problems is a flaw and the show presents her doing so.
 
She had three episodes. Any member of the mane six have probably had more than three episodes where they were the protagonist.

wanna know what is my experience about starlight outside the fandom drama? well here it goes:  
one day i was boring watching tv, nothing to see in the channels, and the episode when glimmer takes everyones cm and all that, i liked the episode because shows that forced equality is bad and bla bla lesson bla bla, just enjoyed the ep
 
later on, when the thorax episode came out, i heared about it and the “nice, friendly changeling” thing catched my attetion, so i watched it online, at the start was glimmer talking whit twilight about stuff, and i was like “wait, werent this character a villain before?” then the episode focused in spike and focused on that too, and forgot about glimmer until i discovered all the drama that is going on everywere

That would depend on the context of the game no? And how is that relevant to this discussion exactly?  
In the context of the showdown between Twilight and Glimmer, all twilight could do was show Glimmer that fucking about with the timelines would not work out as Glimmer had hoped, but she could not actually stop glimmer from doing it.
