some sites don’t loop em well or don’t support them on mobile, its just what it is, I’ve noticed on derpi here they loop pretty well
webms loop just fine for me, check that your browser is fully up to date
it does, i don’t know about others but personally its more satisfying to look at without interuption
Well that totally makes it worth the tradeoff!
Some sites still have issues displaying webms on mobile plus, even if the artist did a perfect loop in animation, the webm tends to stop just half a second before starting again. Higher quality comes with the disadvantage of flow breaking
No idea. Some people are still just addicted to gifs I guess, even though there’s pretty much no reason for them to exist anymore.

This difference is this one is a gif with the quality turned way down to keep the filesize under that of the much higher quality webm; if this gif were of comparable quality, the filesize would be massive.
