Personally I find semi anthro to be cute
I mean these are fictional ponies so who cares how they sit.
I love how people have that one thing that breaks the deal for them. I mean, some people can accept cartoon effects like bouncing and stretching or even in the show, ponies break their forelegs all the time but somehow, when a fanart gets horse-anatomy wrong, it puts them off.
for me personally, my big no-no are really big ears. Some fanarts get the head / ear proportion so out of whack they look like rogue the bat/ bugs bunny/mickey mouse.
