Basically “Ignore the problem and don’t aknowledge it”.
 
Fans would need to spam this question at him for a response– make it clear its overwhelmingly known and demands a response.

Just complaining. People have brought things like this (and more serious things) up to IDW, they never cared, and eventually shut down ways to communicate with them.

Are people from Hasbro and IDW know about this things? Are we just complain here at the deep of the fandom?  
I want to know what Bobby Curnow has to say about this, or people from Hasbro.  
It’s about time they fire him.

TONS. there’s many a way to stylize armor; if you look at all the ways that people have drawn armor for the six, there’s a crap ton of ways to make it unique.

The only thing I want is for Jay Fosgitt to admit his mistake in copying the designs, apologize, and promise that he’ll more carefully check art references he looks at so that he doesn’t copy something like this again.
 
Google reverse image search is a thing, and if you’re looking at a pony image, you have something EVEN BETTER.

I enjoy coming back here and seeing things have escalated, then derailed, then got rerailed, then everyone remembered nobody wholly cares.

It’s not like EP’s design was terribly original to begin with.

Honestly I see this more as Fan-Service then them trying to cheap out by copying some other artists work.

it’s definitely still one of those things that’s just a rotten stunt that people really shouldn’t try to defend. it would be like if you threw a milkshake at me and missed, and i just flipped you the bird and kept walking, and people were defending you by saying “well the milkshake didn’t hit kraus so no harm done” and “hey you tried to give him a free milkshake; what a great guy you are!”
 
now i don’t actually know if you’re the kind of guy who would throw a milkshake at good ol’ uncle kraus so i’m definitely not implying anything. just using you since i needed someone to throw a milkshake at me for my hypothetical scenario to work. tell you what if we ever meet in real life i’ll buy you a milkshake. just don’t throw it at me :)

Yeah they’re pretty clearly derivative. I’m not sure why all the blame is being laid on Jay though. The reference image could have also been provided by the writer or whatever staffer at Hasbro coordinated the GoH stuff with IDW.
 
When we have official first-party content that’s as facepalm-worthy as >>1376744 getting things fundamentally wrong, something like this seems pretty insignificant.

I know that this logic wouldn’t work. I mean it as example not as my way of seeing this case.  
But when i look at the Armor they are not exactly the same. They are very very similar but not the same. Have we other angels to see the armor?
 
If not, they only similar and not the same. The boots itself are no copy because every royal soldiers has them.And overal those armor are also similar to the royal armor.

How apropos, that second result is a case of literal copy-pasting without any credit or source links. Though that’s pretty typical with wallpapers.
