Yeah, I think you got it right, but actually the ones they sweat of are grentchin. To get a proper ork spore, the ork needs to be physically wounded. Upon death, an ork releases all his spores at once, so even the death of an ork doesn’t mean that you’ve stopped the spores.

They reproduce via fungal spores that they sweat out when they fight. The fungus spores bury themselves underneath a planet’s surface and form new orkboys that eventually dig their way up and start wrecking shit.
