You know, I always thought Pearl would be a pegasus (to compliment her “floaty” character), Amethyst would be an Earth Pony due to her being born on Earth (as a common footsoldier) and Garnet would be a Unicorn with Earth pony strength (Ruby being the Earth pony, Sapphire being the unicorn).
