It’s been two years since I made that comment, and probably longer since I saw that episode XD So I’ve no idea.  
Honestly, I don’t think they keep floorplans of every building that’s depicted repeatedly in the show, though it would be a good idea if they did. Likely just pre-arranged rooms for shots at different angles.
 
I just know that this arrangement is possible, considering the rooms don’t have to be adjacent for one to hear sounds from the other.

It’s also possible that the rooms are adjacent, but still being viewed from different angles; that would only require that the hallway wraps around Apple Bloom’s room.
 
What about Cutie Pox, though? Is there anything we can glean about the floorplan from that episode? I can’t remember.

I’m aware of that. However I was pointing it out firstly for clarification, and secondly to illustrate that we have only one point of reference for AB’s room (her door) while we have two for AJ’s room (her door and her window).

That still doesn’t invalidate the hypothesis that you are viewing each room from a different direction. Applebloom’s room has no indication of where it is in the house’s floorplan other than the position of the door (which could still be in any location relative to AJ’s room). AJ’s room is the only one with an indication of placement in that it must be on an outer wall on one of the sides that the roof slope towards.
 
Applebloom’s room doesn’t necessarily need to be adjacent to AJ’s, given that it’s depicted as an old farm house. Farm houses back in the day often had relatively thin interior walls. Even being separated by a hallway, they could still easily hear any loud noises from other rooms.
 
It’d also important to not that that isn’t a window we see in Applebloom’s room, but a vanity mirror, meaning her room could easily be an interior room or that the window is on the wall behind our point of view.

The text bubble is coming from the right wall, as well as the thudding. The doors in the background face the same direction. Applejack’s ceiling slants to the left, implying it’s on the left side of the house.

I think the CMC may be traumatized after this.

AJ’s room is being viewed from the opposite direction as Applebloom’s room. Doesn’t take non-Newtonian physics to figure that out.

I hate to be the one to ask but how does Applejack have a window on the left side of her room if Apple Bloom’s room is ALSO located to the left of her room? What M.C. Escher design did Applejack use as a floor plan?
