“Oh Riposte is just a pure gentlecolt I tell ya.” Honeycrisp gushed as she braided her cousins mane. “I snuck away early from ma shift and we had a romantic walk in the garden! Oh and he got me the prettiest rose I ever did see. After that we sat out on the guest room balcony to watch Lady Luna raise the moon, oh it was truly magical!” She sighed longingly.
 
“Sounds dreamy” Snapple said bluntly. A typical answer from the few worded mare.
 
“I know! And to think he chose me, just a plain ol’ farmpony from Ponyville” She almost squealed as her cheeks flared up. “I can’t wait to see him again! These couple days has felt like weeks.”
 
The small smile on Snapple’s face grew a tiny bit upon seeing her cousin so excited. She was happy for her, yet she couldn’t help but wonder a bit about if the prince’s intentions where pure. If anything where to ever hurt her cousin then she swore on Celestia she would-
 
However she knew better than to share her concerns, for now only time would tell what kind of stallion he really was.
 
“Twig doesn’t seem to like him though…” Honey murmured. “That day at the train station, he was actin’ so wierd I tell ya.”
 
“He doesn’t want you to get hurt” Snapple answered calmy
 
“Yeah, well I’m not a little filly anymore. I can make ma own decicions. I wish he could just be happy for me.”
 
“He just cares ‘bout you a lot”
 
“Oh I know.” The yellow mare huffed. “I just wish he could relax. By the way!”
 
Honeycrisp lit up once again, any trace of irritation gone from her voice.
 
“I was thinking of inviting ma and pa up to the castle, ya know, to meet him!”
 
“Honey, you’ve only known him a week” Snapple said in a serious tone as she turned to face her cousin.
 
“Too soon?” Honey said with a dumbfounded look on her face.
