Changelings would be the dark eldar. Run in, steal ponies in raids for food, GTFO.
Celestia’s forces would be the Imperium of man. Lots of Weak and useless Royal guard ponies, but Powerful Unicorn artillery.
Nightmare moon’s forces would be Chaos, with the nightmare force creatures being Demon stand ins.
Combat wagons and beings like Dragons to take their places.
My only question is, which race would take the place of Orks? The comic relief that’s actually just as grim dark as the rest of the universe when you think about it but you can’t help but love them? (Run on sentence… I am a terrible human being…)

Jokes aside, all you really need to do is match miniature base sizes and head-height of them. Vehicles are going to be harder to do.
