Nobody is denying that the artwork is impressive due the animation, the lightning effects or the story itself, but even the most beautiful of things is not perfect, and it’s interesting to respectfully share ideas, discuss, etc., about the theme.
 
If you do artwork, you’ll always are going to be criticized, because you choose to share your effort with other people with different perspectives. That’s the law.

when will people ever stop complaining about a well done animation? this fandom absolutely fucking sucks in recognizing extremely hard work poured down into a piece of art like this.

Personally I much prefer the ElieMonty version.  
Sure she doesn’t have the voice-control that Kristen Calvin has, but she does seem to have more emotion and range throughout the whole song.
 
Not to mention I just find that her voice is a much better fit for Luna and especially Nightmare Moon.  
It just relays Nightmare Moons bombastic and dangerous nature so much better,  
Then again they did kind of remove much of Nightmare Moons bombast from the show itself, when they changed her voice after the pilot.
 
On another note:  
I simply adore the design of Nightmare Moon in this animation, it is probably the best I have seen to date.

There is a kind of monotone quality to ElieMonty’s rendition of the song and the delivery of the vocals feels strained. To my ears Kristen Calvin’s is the superior performance.

The part that made me love that song the most was when she sung “Its come to this at last, I will no longer yield the sky, if they can not love but one princess alone”

It is kinda hard to choose between the two, though I’m leaning towards ElieMonty.

I have to agree with what’s being said by a few already, this is good but not quite amazing. The video certainly shows off how far Duo Cartoonist’s animation abilities can go, but there isn’t as much going on as there was in Lullaby for a Princess or Children of the Night and the version of the song used is notably less impressive than most of the other ones out there. EileMonty’s vocal performance just doesn’t have the same emotional range as the original.
 
In almost any other fandom, this would be the best thing ever created. If this was Duo Cartoonist’s first major work or the first animation made for a Ponyphonic song, it’d still be off-the-charts spectacular. With all things being the way they are, though, I feel that it could have been better.

For one thing they probably would turn the comic license over to Marvel ending the decade history in IDW’s Transformers books to say nothing of the recently started shared Hasbroverse built on said decade.
 
Though I’m sure some people would probably welcome ROM and Micronauts becoming part of the MU.

Why would that be a bad thing? Disney has the resources to do things with Hasbro’s IPs that Hasbro could never pull off.
