Yeah, MLP-G4 isn’t going anywhere. Look at Star Trek: cancelled after only three seasons, but fifty years later everyone still knows Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Uhura, Sulu, Chekov, and the Enterprise, and it spawned a whole universe of characters and stories beyond. Or, look at Transformers: originally a thirty minute Hasbro toy commercial for trucks that turn into robots, but the characters and stories have been continually retold and reimagined over the years, never really dropping off the pop culture radar.
My guess is that G4 will wind up like one of those two.

Like how we’re talking as if the series is already over, when we have Season 7 and a proper pony movie to look forward to. Bring it on, hiatus! I brought snacks!
After everything this series has gone through, it has proven one thing. It’s legacy is everlasting. Even if the newer iterations were to revert back into the ways of the previous generations, the fourth will have proven to be the one with the biggest impact and leave the longest lasting impression. Bronies of the 4th shall not go quietly into that good night. We will rage against the calm and remember those that gave us such warm memories of a world where friendship is magic.
“maybe you’ll think of me, when you are all alone….. maybe the one who is waiting for you, will prove untrue. then, what will you do?….. maybe, you’ll sit and sight, wishing that i were near…….. then maybe, you’ll ask me to comeback again, and maybe i’ll say…”
“maybe”
Pinkie…How could we ever forget about any of you, after everything you’ve given all of us? No, Pinkie, we’ll never forget about you, even after it’s all over, and that’s a Pinkie promise…Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.
