Like I said, I don’t obsess over many of the newer features; that includes AI assistants like Cortana and Siri. They really don’t weigh on my opinion whatsoever. That being said, I find myself experiencing the same thought process as you, but i the opposite way. Windows OS is just more friendly and clean to me than OSX has ever been. Perhaps it has to do with conditioning, or perhaps we just use our computers differently. This is an interesting subject for sure.

I think it’s too flashy. They’re so concerned with how it looks that they forgot to make it simple and user friendly. Granted, 10 was a large improvement from 8, but I still can’t get used to it. It’s not my cup of tea anymore. OS X is a lot more inviting, open and easy to use. Multitasking is also made a lot simpler. It’s a warmer environment for me. Yes, it’s good looking, but they didn’t focus so much on making it look good that they forgot to add in really great features. Also the fact that Siri is on it now and is miles better than Cortana.
I don’t mind if people use Windows, but I can’t anymore. It’s lost its appeal. The appeal that made Windows XP and 7 a pleasure to use.
@Ren
Really? I have Windows 10 dual booted and I can’t stand it. I only use it because newer Macs wouldn’t let you install 7. I much prefer OS X and Linux now. Windows is my last choice in operating system. I only have it for games.

Understandable, but I don’t see much reason to fret over it personally. I like my laptop with 10 just fine. None of the newer features bother me, and the sleeker design of some components is admittedly nice. Not to mention it runs faster.
I keep a folder of about 500 wallpapers that it cycles through every 10 minutes. You can set it up like that in windows 8 and 10, Not sure if 7 had it, it might have.
Confirming that Windows 7 also supports desktop themes with cycling wallpapers. My old desktop is a 7.
