I think the main problem with the average Sonic pics posted on this site is that they’re badly drawn (or the quality is not as good as other MLP drawings).
But still though, most users seem to hate the Sonic x Dash thing, even if isn’t meant to be shipping (other pics).

It’s usually badly-drawn and mass-posted to the site in large chunks. If a flood of garbage is posted, we’ll show our displeasure through downvotes. I think I’ve seen one good Sonic/Dash picture, and it was both drawn well and non-shippy.
