some of those characters were around since season 1 and have YEARS of background appeases for fans to works with and weren’t needed for the plot fans gave them backstories for FUN. and you didn’t answer me.

Let me ask you Flash-haters this:
 
Why is it we can make a Derpy’s animation error and her saying “muffins” and make her a clutz who’s obsessed over the food…
 
…make Lyra a human-obsessed conspiracy theorist based on how she sits…
 
…take a DJ with a two-second cameo and make her a party animal who’s dating that one mare from the Gala episode…
 
…make Berry Punch an alcoholic based on her drinking directly from a punch bowl…
 
…make Scootaloo an orphan simply because we don’t see her parents and Rainbow Dash a lesbian with a cider addiction…
 
…and yet giving one character some interesting personality traits based on his scenes in the movies is somehow impossible?n Even if the writers didn’t do much for him, that doesn’t make him a lost cause that no good can come out of.
 
Look at it this way; many people outright hated the idea of bringing back MLP because of G3….
 
…and now look at what MLP has become.
 
It’s not what we want him to be, it’s what he can be.

Let me ask you this: What’s forcing you to come onto every single Flash Sentry pic and talk about how much you hate him?

I don’t wanna force everyone to love Flash. It’s just that all the hatred he gets is either “jumping into the bandwagon” of “Muh waifu” or “Bland cliché” and all we wanted is some characterization that could calm the waters. You know, a middle ground.
 
But when you instead replace him and haters play the hypocrisy card and claim “HE’S BUTTEHR DAN FLASH” when he’s the same or (Arguably) worse than how he was in the first film… that’s what gets the fans angry. That this new guy comes and gets all the praise just because “He’s not Flash”. That’s what pisses me off at least, the irrational hatred Flash received and how bad it got DHX decided to replace him rather than improve him.

It’s not your job to make him better it’s the writers, they decided to add him and they kept putting him in their movies so if they are going to lay this on people they should commit to it and improve and expand the character not just give up because “writing is too hard”. They bring him back for every movie even this one but do nothing with him then they add this new guy who’s just as forced and just bland as Flash is. They’re giving the audience the run around instead of actually putting in the effort, if they can’t be bothered to improve these characters then remove the characters and focus on the main plot.
 
You don’t have to like him we’re just saying don’t act like this new cardboard cutout is any better or that it fixes anything when it doesn’t. It just looks hypocritical liking one bland character for another bland character just because it’s not the first bland character. At least Flash took a couple of scenes of interaction between him and Twi before they started to flirt and at least Flash had some other characteristics (though not much) but he wasn’t an evil dickhead they could of done something with him they just decided not to.

here’s a question for flash fans:  
why should we be forced to make him better? and what if no gives two fucking shit rats about someones non-cannon fanfic? are you going to force everyone to like flash or read your fic before they watch the movies?

Majority disapproval? What you mean all 5 of them? Was Flash an unneeded love interest who was boring and dragged down the plot? YES! Do you fix this problem by repeating the same mistake twice? No you don’t, you give the character more personality and an actual role to play and apply some better writing you take a broader look at the character, throwing in a clone who’s exactly the same and will likely end up like his counterpart is not how you fix an issue.
 
Also Twilight is human when she goes through the portal her anatomy is completely changed and if Flash went through it he’d be a horse, saying it’s some form of beastiality doesn’t work it’s like saying Timber and Sci Twi is beastiality because the portal can change them into horses if they went through it and Sci Twi got magic from that world which would link her to it. It’s as you put it “just a poor distraction to avert attention” and if you really think people in this fandom wouldn’t want to see a horse get with a human you do not know this fandom at all.

For a cool guy, he has a lot of really goofy moments. So, I disagree with your assertion and maintain it was a bandwagon effect, much like not liking Derpy brought you lots and lots of hostility for very little reason.

The argumentum ad cellarium is strong in this one.Besides one can also look at the context and the sheer absurdity of a Sonic/Elise horse-human ship to understand why Flash was rejected so unanimously.Flash is a Ken from Barbie,there’s no hypocrisy about the fandom not developing the character because there not so much you can do with “cool guy/love interest” type.Flash is not a blank slate,he’s a bland character,here is the nuance you cant develop him because the writer always developed him as cool guy MacGuitar love interest.And people said no to this in majority.  
Pointing at “waifu thief” and “lol virgin nerd” is just a poor distraction to avert attention from Flash glaring problem as a character and forced love interest

That doesn’t change anything considering we’ve STILL added certain aspects to Mane/Side-characters on a regular bases. Such as Scootaloo being an orphan because we’ve never seen her parents.
 
And then there’s the fact that no one would give a damn if he’d been introduced as a female character, they’d just ship her like everyone else.

No, it’s a simple observation. All the Flash-haters do is complain about how “bland” and “cliché” and do absolutely nothing to fix the problem or change that.
