Pinkie’s head and body are weirdly shaped, like some of the characters on the show. A vague explanation, yes, but remember that Arnold’s head is shaped like a football
@Vinyl Fluff
Fun fact: So has The Fairly Odd Parents (although it’s newer episodes aren’t that notable and Nick doesn’t even make a big deal about the series anymore).

Okay true, but one more thing. SpongeBob came between The Wild Thornberrys and Rocket Power, but eh, it’s been on so long it could pass off as any generation starting at 3.
Yeah, that’s why I kind of rate it as a newer one, because it’s been going so long and still is, AFAIK.

Personally, I consider Jimmy Neutron to be the cut-off date for Retro NickToons (and 2001-02 in general to be the cut-off date for retro culture), but that’s probably because I’m much younger than you, so what I consiser the past is vastly different to what you do.
Oh don’t get me wrong, I don’t think only those three are the cutoff point for me. I just remember when they were the only NickToons in existence. I’d break it down like this (using only the shows you listed.)
Ren & Stimpy/Doug/Rugrats - Original NickToons
Rocko’s Modern Life/AAAHH! Real Monsters/Hey Arnold! - Second generation NickToons
The Angry Beavers/CatDog/The Wild Thornberrys/Rocket Power - Third generation NickToons
Fairly Oddparents - Fourth generation NickToons
Jimmy Neutron/SpongeBob - Modernish era
Again using only the shows you listed. So pretty close in sequential order of your chart. I’d still consider everything prior to FOP as retro, my complaint is only about Avatar basically. It just feels so wrong to consider it a NickToon the same way as the others.

Okay, but is it alright if I re-use the Jimmy Neutron image for Dexter’s Lab if I can’t find another suitable one (and for Johnny Test and Phineas and Ferb if I ever do them, because let’s face it, all four of them are the same friggin’ show)?

Looks more like Ren and Stimpy style to me.
And also Maud’s chill/stoic. They look like both of Arnold’s defining traits.

I don’t get your face.
Annoying childish character drives other character insane.
That’s fine by me

Too bad there couldn’t be anything good for Invader Zim or Kablam.
I’m a little annoyed at Avatar being referred to as a “retro NickToon”, considered it was 14 years after the original three.
