Man, these jokes only really work with warrior type characters. Y’know, when it looks like the stuff is supposed to be armor, but fails miserably. Any other class, and as long as they don’t wear anything the overly restricts movement (high heels, super tight corsets, ballroom dresses, ect) they can wear anything. Wouldn’t be smart, but it wouldn’t be completely unbelievable.
 
The difference between a rogue in a leather bikini and a warrior in a metal bikini is the the former doesn’t care, while the latter does but is a complete idiot.
 
And everything goes out the window with mages, because they can compensate for everything with magic.
