Also, from what I’ve been told, the tiger wasn’t even trying to hurt him. He was trying to get him away from the stage because he thought they were in danger. Sadly, humans can’t be carried like cats without injury.

Siegfried an Roy were together (as couple) until 1996, but stayed friends afterwards.

I would like to suggest christening these ponies “Siegpferd and Heu”. “Heu” is the German word for hay, and it’s pronounced like “hoy” so it rhymes with Roy. Also, in case you’re wondering, “Pferd” is the German word for horse and the p is silent.

Not necessarily, at least re-reading the accounts, Roy didn’t want any anything done to the tiger that injured him, recognizing it was a potential threat that would have occurred with dealing with wild animals. It’s not like Roy was “never show me a tiger again!”-type responses. I do know what you mean “in poor taste” if it was a different situation, I just don’t think it would have been a problem with these two if Roy had the CM. (Poor taste in CMs would be giving a pony Steve Irwin a stingray CM, in this case)

I’m just glad It’s not Roy that has that cutie-mark. That would’ve been in pretty poor taste.
 
On the plus side, I was sure he died from that injury, but turns out he didn’t. They just canceled the show. I’ve always heard that story being told ending in death. Even the tiger survived.
