It was actually a smart thing to duck, that ball was traveling at a rate which exeeded her confidence to which it would have sent the bucket back a bit to which seaswirl really isnt a “bullet sponge”
 
Sometimes you need to both build up your confidence while having others see where it is. So its not her fault that she has difficulty with that one. Besides at least that was just gold how she ducked like that, pure.
