Definitely agree on the skill part, his understanding of muscles is solid.
Before ponies I spent a LOT of time drawing muscular characters, and studying the anatomy for it.
To be honest, this artist’s style is intriguing to me. It’s sort of… Psuedo-anthro, i’ll call it because it doesn’t really seem close enough to either end. It’s like he applied the human muscle structure to the pony frame/body, which i’ve seen attempted before, but never this well.
But no matter what you think of it, one has to admit, looking at the rest of this guy’s work? He has some rad skill with muscle anatomy.
if you can work on it and study some anatomy as well you can use your talent for better results
Though it really doesn’t deserve the downvotes imo.
