Trixie is meant for better things than that! She needs to become a regular part of the show! The first Twilight rival deserves justice!
Forget Trixie for a second (you can go back to her when we’re done), because there’s something else worth noting.
If you were paying attention to the background ponies, you noticed that Bon Bon was part of Zecora’s scouting party. Now, can you find Lyra in this timeline?
No. No you can’t. She’s not there. Interpret that as you will.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled Trixie.

Yep, I realized it made sense a little later @armadiloeater, in the end she was lucky to even get this lil’ cameo. I guess the writers are screwed either way: either they give the fan favorites a spotlight and it gets called pandering, or they get little nods and it’s called unfair. Not like they can fit everyone now that the show has been going on for so long.
I feel 100% certain that Trixie will show up in season six. However I’m also 100% certain she’ll only appear to make Starlight Glimmer look good, ala Trixie’s role in Rainbow Rocks. Then after being made to look like a buffoon, again, she’ll be banished back to the darkest corners of obscurity til they need to trot her out again to make whoever look good by comparison.

Ok, so Twilight and Spike never existed, that means that Trixie goes around as a show pony without worry. She keeps going, wanting more power. She catches wind of the Alicorn amulet and gets it. At first, she uses it for her tricks, but it soon escelates. she begins to want power and takes over equestra. eventualy, it drives her so insane she destroies everything
1-We never see a “Trixie Wins” timeline because that scenario was created entirely as an indirect result of Twilight gaining her cutie mark, without that one event Twilight never became capable of upstaging Trixie, or at least never had the occasion to since she wouldn’t have felt confident enough to compete with her (assuming Trixie went to Canterlot and Twilight saw her show in the first place). Furthermore, Trixie was upstaged when Twilight stopped the Ursa Minor which Snips & Snails found in the Everfree Forest and went searching for after Spike told them that they had no proof of what Trixie did; without the sonic rainboom Spike wouldn’t have existed to have that conversation (assuming every other factor was in place to begin with)
In short, without the sonic rainboom, Trixie is never upstaged by Twilight and never obtains the alicorn amulet and thus is never corrupted by it so there would be no “Trixie wins” timeline because that conflict never happened (as opposed to say, Flim & Flam who were a threat during their very first appearance)
2- The dusty flatlands distopia timeline Twilight shows Starlight is the “Trixie wins” timeline, in this version all of Equestria’s natural resources were used to make effigies of Trixie
