How is this supposed to matter?! It clearly contained something else than this fanart, so it wasn’t supposed to get merged.  
If the system is really that broken then it needs to be fixed.

Do you know what lower resolution means? It means the image has less pixels. I saw your upload before it was merged. It contained a smaller version of this image. That is why it was merged.

What thps48 said. It’s not a lower resolution image, it contains more than the fanart that was already uploaded and serves a completely different purpose, so this really should get a pass.

Your intention was good but you did it wrong. You uploaded a lower resolution image of an existing image, so your lower res image was merged into the higher res image.

I can still upload it and I’m in the process of doing it, but now it tells me that it was merged by an admin, that I shouldn’t reupload it and that if I do it anyway, my account may be blocked for uploads.  
Can someone please fix the broken organization here and fire certain admins?
 
 
Edit: Ok, now there are the questions in the description of this upload here. Still doesn’t solve the problem that, unless everything is in one file, a user who wants to have it in the context it originally appeared on the blog, has to download two files and still make an additional screenshot of Celestia’s answer on the blog, though.  
How the uploader can’t see that my solution is more practical is beyond me.

I’d have thought there was a do not merge button someplace, but then again, that’d not fit in with Derpibooru’s model plan of complete user unfriendliness. lol

Okay, for what reason was this merged now? It wasn’t the same picture.  
My upload was there to offer a file that contains not only the fanart alone, but, since it’s an askblog, also the questions that led up to it and Celestia’s answer, so that everyone who is interested can download everything in one compact picture.  
This is definitely something of use for some people, so I’m going to reupload this now. Merging this was really ridiculous, considering that there was clearly a good number of users who wanted to have it.
