Duck replaced dick for use in general discussions where swearing or suggestive language isn’t allowed. You’re a massive dick became you’re a massive duck in certain contexts. I first noticed the slang being used sometime around 2011-2. :)

There’s one person on this site with 26 bans who’s not been permabanned, but they’re not too active right now either. There’s another with 18 who’s not permabanned, has no duck badge, and is very active on the site.
 
Bans and duck badges are kinda based on context, severity, etc. We don’t have a fixed list of “If <person> does <a>, give them <specific punishment>, no exceptions”. There’s guidelines and steps and such, but every situation is different, some things aren’t as bad as others, etc. So we always look at everything case-by-case.

Overall, there’s 51 badges in the system. However, that’s now how many you can have. Some badges (the patreon, gem, and coin donation badges) are in “sets” and you can only have one from each set at a time. A few more were only available for a specific time/event. Some of them are unique and given to only one person. Some of them are “rare” badges that have no publicly known criteria and are not easy to obtain. Etc. Right now, the most badges anyone has is fifteen. And here’s a list of the criteria for a number of our badges.

To be fair, he got a duck badge because of his posts here. So he didn’t have that badge when this all happened… That tends to happen when you rack up a number of repeat bans

It was a lower resolution, lower quality image with some pretty heavy JPG compression. Editing a few cropped screenshots onto an image in MS Paint does not really make it worthy of keeping separately from a higher resolution, higher quality version of what’s otherwise the exact same image.
 
At any rate, if you’re unhappy with or disagree with a merge, you should either contact a mod and discuss it via PM, the forums, or irc. Insulting the site’s entire community by calling them whiny and saying they lack common sense is not an appropriate response.
 
Enjoy your month long vacation from the site. Six bans is way too many. The next one is permanent.

He has a point though. If the tumblr is ever deleted like many have been, the hotlinked images in the descriptions will fail and the images will be without context.
