Humans become more neotenous, not more feminine. Feminine physical features are neotenous as a general rule simply by virtue of being softer and rounder, but the two are not interchangeable. Neoteny (not femininity) is the secret behind human’s intelligence. Also our lack of hair. That neoteny and intelligence are linked should be a hint that it’s neoteny and not femininity that produced that result.
Neoteny, by the way, is the goal of domestication. Dogs are just neotenous wolves, and the SibFox experiment managed to produce domesticated foxes by selecting for neoteny.
When it comes right down to it, there are a few specific hormones involved in this process. Testosterone is not one of them. They came to the conclusion that it was a reduction in testosterone by misclassifying neotenous traits as feminine.
