Nah. EqD’s used my stuff a half dozen times for these “filler” posts before I stopped visiting over two years ago, never credited. Probably did afterwards as well, but I stopped caring about the place.

You’d be surprised how many people have that “They’re just an artist, fuck ‘em. They don’t actually do anything beneficial so they’re not worth crediting or whatever” kind of attitude. Like I said, it just sort of comes with the territory.

I understand how you feel. Instead of attacking the person, I’d attack the behavior: send him a note if you want, but I’d tell him, IRL or not, “hey, you know it’s wrong to not attribute the work to the artist who created it, right?” Usually that’s enough to push a person to do the right thing. :)

Well I likely wouldn’t actually hit him, it just pisses me off so much that I want to hit him, i know it wouldn’t make him change his mind if I did.
 
I’m actually a pacifist, sorta, I hate war and death but I’m more specifically just unable to intentionally hurt someone, no matter how much I want to(I was somehow conditioned not to when I was younger)

Possibly. She was mostly a one-off to see what The Smiling Pony’s reaction would be (to be honest I can’t tell if he liked it or just faved it to be nice, but as long as he didn’t take it as a jab or like an insult I’m happy), but you never know.

The sad reality is a lot of people just don’t give a fuck. They do in the pragmatic sense like they’d care if the flow of pictures stopped, but that’s it. The thing is, you can’t focus on guys like that and you certainly shouldn’t get upset enough to actually want to deck them one. If you do, all it’ll take to make you want to stop drawing is to have one guy come along and treat you like that. It’s an incredibly painful thing for an artist (or musician or anything like that) to feel unwanted and unappreciated, like nobody wants them around and to feel excluded because of it. The worst of it is that one guy will walk waya not even caring, and probably not even noticing, that they’ve made you think you’re not worthwhile. You have to treat it like it really is: a foregone conclusion that some people are just like that, and not even give it a second thought. There’s more than enough people who do care, and that’s good enough for me. Just seeing all the people here who commented or upvoted, and even thinking of the people who just saw it is all immensely gratifying. Hell even seeing the people there, most of whom clearly have never seen my stuff, all reacting in horror and confusion gave me a chuckle. That’s something that one guy saying, quoting you, “Oh, the artist of a picture I found posts exclusively to derpibooru? Well fuck that one artist in particular, they don’t deserve to get credit for their work, I’m a terrible EQD mod and don’t give a fuck about artists, I just want pictures of trixie”, can’t just take away.
 
What I’m trying to say (and I hope it doesn’t get taken the wrong way; I’m kind of stupid with words sometimes), is it’s a foregone conclusion people will do stuff like that and that’s precisely why you don’t have to worry about it. If you take it personally every time someone does something shitty to you you’ll just have a bad time. If I had a nickel for every rotten comment and message I’ve recieved in my tenure as an artist I could quit my day job, but if I had a nickel for every nice one I recieved I could buy out Microsoft.

If I see seth IRL, I’m gonna slap him for refusing to credit artists. The fuck is his problem?

True. My comment hasn’t been deleted yet, either. I guess in hindsight though I could have linked instead to “artist:badumsquish, (safe OR suggestive)” if I’d thought of it at the time. In the grand scheme of things I’d rather not piss people off, even if it was technically their fault for leaving filters off XD.
