I felt like making a note of it in the forums or something last-night/normal people morning (I work night shifts), but by then I had already threw out messages about it on Facebook, dA, and such. And by the time I would have gotten here I would of recycled my dA journal about it.

Really, his legs should be fine based on the general proportions of man (~2 heads wide, 7 1/2 tall here). What I feel might really be going on is the over-all bulk and width he has which might be playing a part in his over-all proportions. But that’s where I was going when I started to build up his body from the basic skeleton.
A friend of mine too said I should try experimenting with different body types, saying I tend to do skinny a lot.
Oh yes, I saw that link you posted :) Great irony that this great area of human desolation has proven to be such a haven for otherwise-endangered wildlife (although, I think by now there is a consensus that the Zone is not really “ideal” for the wildlife there.
It could be that the Tarks were based on these horses - pity they never made it into the game itself. I think they may be the only identified creature from SOC’s development that were never resurrected in any subsequent game or mod. Probably scrapped due to practical reasons, but at the time the concept was fantastic!
On the subject of wild horses, Dartmoor Ponies could almost be described as feral - so many tourists have been feeding them treats that they’ve become sugar-crazed and will attack everyone with food.

Anyway, fantastical as all that is, deepest respect to those affected by the real shit that started it all, 30 years ago today. :|
I can see them doing that. After initial thought they overdid with booze and weed.

There is also IRL horses that live feral in the exclusion zone. One of the only (if not THE only) truly wild species of horse.
Though, I reckon its time to employ that ability to teleport, Twilight… Although, got to imagine that in itself is a pretty bloody dangerous game in the Zone. You don’t even know where the Zone’s own teleporting anomalies will take you…

Also, I noticed someone in the dA comments (foolishly, as you pointed out) said there were no horses in the Zone. May I also add: Tarks. Have the ponies “interact” with them - that’s a scary-as-feck picture right there!
