Why so many people think Twilight’s reaction is odd? Twilight did forgive Trixie, but still acknowledge Trixie as a pony below moral standard, thus Twilight does not want Starlight to associate with her.

Because god forbid we forgive Trixie for being arrogant and putting on a necklace that she shouldn’t have. Meanwhile, the destroyer of timelines is her protege because she got the forgiveness montage.
 
It could be good, but this is the kind of concept that is easier to fuck up than a Spike episode, and it all goes back to how easily Starlight was forgiven for so much, and how little Trixie has actually done in comparison. I predict that the episode will either be the best or worst episode so far in this season, depending on how they play it.
 
Also, that smile that Glimmer has on her face is terrifying, and I swear I’ve seen a bunch of times in the show on various characters… Is that just me, or does it look creepy?
