Rainbow Dash’s skirt always reminds me of that soccer match in the first movie. You wouldn’t think to let Twilight get a change of clothes there, RD, because as we saw, letting Twilight high kick that ball in her skirt then pass out splayed legged surely has no ramifications in case someone had been walking past the field. :3
a little info about paint operations
you’d think extra paint on one figure might be cheap but it all adds up (if it costs 1 dollar to add all the accurate colors for rainbow’s hair, and they make 1 million of her toys, that’ll be an 1m additional cost to make).
Her hair is blue because Hasbro is too cheap to paint all of it.
And several other characters have been confirmed. I believe 25 in total.
This differs from show to show. Trying to introduce a bunch of new characters or make toys of non-mane characters can backfire horribly too when Fans are very Invested in the mane characters: Look at how Friendship games toy sales did poorly because no one gave a crap about the shadowbolts or how Transformers the movie did poorly in toy sales because they tried to bring in a bunch of new characters to make toys of instead of the characters everyone liked.
Same here: people are SUPER invested in the mane six, so the Mane six variants are still selling really well.
Give it a bit, they’re moving on to other characters like sunset and Flash sentry and Vinyl scratch, they’ll get the sirens, derpy and other characters next.
