olympic weightlifter
Her favorite food is bone marrow.
imagine pissing off an olympic weightlifter who lost and couldn’t take it.
throw helluva far!
Oh, there’s no doubt that self-doubt is a huge factor for top competitors; the ones who stay at it long enough to become legendary tend to be those who can brush that off and use a Second Place finish as incentive to go back out and try to have a good day on the field next time.
…I still wouldn’t pick a fight with an Olympic also-ran who never got anywhere near a medal, though. Kick you up into the trees, they will.
That’s quite the ego-smasher for some though (“if i was just 1 nanosecond faster…”).
@OptimusPrimevil
It’s such a weird psychology, since to even appear in Olympic competition is to be globally acknowledged as one of the greatest in the entire world at a particular sport. The difference in time between Gold and Silver is quite often measured in thousands of a second, and that clearly means that both competitors were of equal skill and talent, one of them just had a better day on the field than the other.
The phrase “…only won Bronze” doesn’t even make sense– it’s like, yeah, what a burden to have the whole world see that you were literally the third best human being on the planet at that event.
Edited because: reason:
that makes sense (silver is a remind of ‘do better’, bronze is like ‘you did it!’).
so first loser?
