Didja know that celebi was going to travel with ash in co. during the johto arc?
It’s what the GS ball was meant for but the people in charge scrapped the idea and gave it a movie instead and the GS ball got left with kurt in johto to fade away into obscurity.

Fortunately tho, meloetta in the Black and White arc of the anime is becoming similar to what celebi was going to be, tho it maybe a little to late for anyone to care.
