Of course urine isn’t sterile. Not a single inch, inside or out, of the human body, is sterile; except the brain because of how isolated it is from the rest of the body in normal function. The question when thinking about the safety of practicing this kind of kink isn’t if it’s sterile. It’s if the contamination in question is hazardous. The problem there is that every body part has its own bacteria that is harmless or even beneficial as long as it remains in the microbiome where it belongs. It’s the cause of a pretty infamous kind of food poisoning if ingested, but it’s already in another part of your body doing good things for you. It’s part of the human gut flora, which is a big part of your immune system.
 
So really the actual question that should be asked when thinking of exploring kinks involving the introduction of bodily wastes into other parts of another person’s body instead of into the toilet isn’t even one, but two questions. First is ‘does your partner understand the potential risk of such experimentation’, and second ‘are they willing to take responsibility for being adventurous in this manner’? If you ask your partner these two questions and don’t get two yeses then I suggest sticking to a proper toilet.
