Oh, I’m sure they are for humans, but the memory-foam pony could still be terrified of it; we’re inclined to do one of two things with the unknowns of the world; we investigate and discover them, or fear and avoid them. Considering she can’t move, let alone investigate such matters, her only choice is to simply remain fearing them until she’s faced with them directly. Even then, could the memory-foam pony really get past her fears then and there?
 
… Maybe if there’s someone for her to wrap around; that desperate grasp of hers around the body of the one she cares about, that friend saying “Shh, it’s okay. There’s no reason to be afraid. I’m here.”
 
Well… so long as they’re on her, on the bed, of course; if not, she’ll just panic, scream, and possibly faint.

I’ll just use you as a pillow.  
I hope you don’t mind, since you don’t really have a choice.
